Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay's birthplace was Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. Born into the Mormon Church's very first family, Fawn McKay was able to direct her innovative creative writing skills and impressive researching skills in the creation of the brilliant psycho-historical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945 under the title"No Man is able to know My History. It was derived from the title of a sermon delivered by Joseph Smith in 1844, when he shocked his hearers with his words: "You do not know me and have not heard my voice. My history is unknown to anyone. The truth is that I'm not sure. Fawn was a 29-year-old Fawn. From that point, at least three writers have taken on this challenge. Many have abhorred him and some have praised. A few have even made a diagnosis. The documents aren't there, it's that they're so inconsistent. It is a difficult task to put together these documents and separate first-hand stories from the third-hand versions and then combining Mormon stories with other ones to form a cohesive mosaic. It's both thrilling, and also instructive. Fawn Brodie's professional life was dedicated to this goal. Thaddeus Steves was a world famous person due to her research and her writing.
