Laura Vandervoort

In 1997, she made her acting debut at the age of thirteen. Her acting debut came at the age of 13 in 1997. After completing her classes and acting as a background actor on Canadian series such as Road to Avonlea, Harriet the Spy and Goosebumps, she was given a speaking part on the Canadian horror series Are You scared of the Dark? and Goosebumps. The shows were both aired by YTV. In addition to commercials as well as guest starring in movies like Mutant X and Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story. Goosebumps was also a aspect of her professional career. Vandervoort's first film, The Lookout, was released in the year 2006. The film starred Jeff Daniels along with Matthew Goode as well as Isla Fischer. Vandervoort was cast on Smallville which is a series on The CW. Her character was Clark Kent's Kryptonian "Kara Kent" she is the girl that will eventually become Supergirl. In the seventh season, she became a regular on the series. In season 7, she was in "Bloodline" which was the episode of season 8. She was back on Smallville for two more episodes in the finale season of the show, also her 10th season. 4. Following The CW and Smallville, Vandervoort filmed the sequel to the feature film Into the Blue titled Into the Blue 2: The Reef. The Jazzman is her third independently produced film. She also starred with Canadians Michael Ironside, who appeared in both The second V miniseries and in the regular 1984 V series.
